There is a sweet space of stillness inside where I have been able to experience Who I Really Am in a way that has changed my life.

I have also witnessed others on this journey of awakening, whose lives have transformed in only moments. The program with marlise this past Sunday was more powerful than anything I have experinced in a long time. The sweet nectar of conscious energy was actually tangible. And I was not the only one who felt it.

As I listened to the experiences people shared - and they were as diverse as the people in the room -- I realized we all had one thing in common - we felt that connection with our souls.  Men, women, college kids, retirees, rich, poor, White, Hispanic, Asian - some had visions, some had out of body experiences, one woman felt the energy moving through her so strongly, the intense heat from it momentarily frightened her; and some were able to quiet their minds for the first time in their lives.  The memory of my own experience - the feeling of the profound strength within my heart - literally brought tears of gratitude to my eyes.

I believe that what marlise offers is beyond what most people can truly understand.  I'm not sure I really understand it myself, as what occured this past Sunday is not just an intellectual conversation - how can we really wrap our heads around the energy of the universe?

What I do know is that this energy of expanded consciousness that emanates so powerfully through marlise that it connects others to Who They Really Are - beyond their stories, likes and dislikes, anger and sadness - it lifts all this pain - revealing underneath - the rich, buried treasure of our Souls.

It’s easy to lose your footing in times like these – the economic downturn is affecting everyone, with higher gas prices, food costs and job losses - and adding fuel to the fire are the daily news reports of gloom and doom.  How do you find security in the midst of it all??

One month ago, my hairstylist, a young single woman fully supporting herself, got an email ‘releasing’ her from her current job – she handled the challenge incredibly well, “I had a ‘knowing’ I would be ok.”  She learned how to connect to the Infinite Intelligence within her at a program last year. “I don’t worry so much anymore – I know I am guided.”

She was – and still is.  Lucy landed a temporary job within the week - but yesterday, I could see she had lost a bit of confidence in the knowing she could participate in creating her life. Lucy said she was recently turned down for a job when she couldn’t agree to the work schedule – and that’s when doubt and worry began to creep into the conversations in her head.

“Look at what’s happening from another perspective. You are powerful - you are bringing to light now the awareness of what is holding you back.”  Just last week in the Program she attended, we focused on becoming ‘aware’ of the thoughts and words we think or speak that don’t empower us.  One of the most extraordinary tools we have for creating our lives that draws events to us – are the conversations we have with ourselves and others, the thoughts we think and speak.  And we can’t change them – if we’re not aware of them. 

Lucy laughed – she got it!  She had begun to walk the road that spirals down. Now she began to express herself in ways that would help her get back to the vision of the life she wanted.  “Well, I did find a new apartment I really love – I’m moving in next week.  And I did have some ideas for marketing myself to work in new places that I would really enjoy – and the people who can create the flyers and copy all showed up last week and told me they wanted to help me do it – and for trade – so it won’t cost me.”

I could see her state of being beginning to shift from resignation to hopefulness. “And the Stillness CD really does help me to relax, to feel peace and go to sleep - my dog and I listen to it every night.” She excused herself and went to work on another client.  When Lucy returned, she had good news, “You won’t believe this – but I just heard from my client - about the job I was sad I didn’t get - well, the salon is in turmoil, many people are leaving.  She told me I was really lucky I didn’t take the job.”  Lucy got that her knowing within - was guiding her, even when it appeared things were going badly.

Lucy received messages so quickly – when she changed the thoughts and words in her head to align with her deepest knowing – that she has the power to weather all of life’s challenges – when she connects to the Infinite Awareness that exists within.

We all have that power – and yet the drama of these times can be very unsettling.  Last week, I noticed for myself, I needed to stop watching the news for a while, as it was diverting me from my highest intentions.  Take a look now and see if the conversations that have been playing in your head – are taking you to where you are hopeful about life – or not.  If not – go into the stillness, the meditation of deep peace, and make the requests that empower you – that connect you to the Source where the answers lie – and you will also discover those messages pouring in – those that inform and inspire every moment.
